St. Petersburg, Tourism Development Committee

The Committee for the Development of Tourism of St. Petersburg implements the state policy of St. Petersburg in the field of tourism development, the hotel infrastructure of St. Petersburg and the hotel industry of St. Petersburg.

The main tasks of the Committee:

- Formation and implementation of the state policy of St. Petersburg in the field of tourism, including social, congress and exhibition, medical and recreational, internal, construction and reconstruction of tourism infrastructure facilities;

- coordination of the activities of the executive bodies of state power of St. Petersburg in the field of hotel infrastructure and other accommodation facilities in St. Petersburg;

- development and implementation of programs for the development of St. Petersburg as a tourist, congress and business center, construction and reconstruction of tourism infrastructure facilities, hotel infrastructure and other accommodation facilities in St. Petersburg;

- creating favorable conditions for the development of tourism in St. Petersburg;

- development and implementation of activities aimed at the development of tourism;

- analysis, forecasting and determination of priority directions for the development of the tourism industry in St. Petersburg;

- assistance in the development of regional and international relations of St. Petersburg in the field of tourism;

- increasing the attractiveness of St. Petersburg as a major international and regional tourist, congress and business center.
