Jewellery Art Museum (Kostroma)

The Jewellery Art Museum is located in the center of Kostroma in the historical building of XVIII century with preserved architectural details of that time. The place is very near to the monument of Yuri Dolgorukiy and the famous fire watchtower.

The exposition of the museum is about the past and future of the Jewellery Capital of Russia. One can see a jewellery handicraftsman workshop reconstruction with the original instruments and a merchant shop with the assortment of the beginning of XX century. 

One hall is dedicated to the history of jewellery craftsmanship development in XX where the famous felegree technique presented , handi and diploma works of the graduates from Krasnoselsky art of metal processing school, the only one is Russia for a long period of time.

We arrange excursions for all kinds of tourist groups and theme programs for school kids.
